The Universal Tao 2010 Congress

Pearls of Wisdom - A Healing Celebration
Tao Garden - Chiang Mai, Thailand - September 5th -14th 2010
Dear Universal Tao and Chi Nei Tsang Seniors, Instructors and Practitioners Just a reminder that planning for the 2010 Tao Congress at Tao Garden is being done right now. We are taking a look at all of the presentation proposals soon after January 15th so if you are interested in presenting your work in a 2 hour seminar at the Congress in Thailand, please send it to us by January 15.
As stated in the attached flyer, we are requesting a 1 page proposal which will include what you plan to teach/discuss and what participants will learn. Innovations and insights coming from your personal practice and experience are welcome. We are envisioning 2 hour seminars, morning warm-up classes, evening panel discussions, entertainment, films, and anything else that seems appropriate.
Please be aware that this document has 3 pages. The 3rd page concerns the organization and scheduling of the events, the most important part for us right now. For those of you who already have responded, thank you for sending your project. If I didn‘t contact you yet it means that I haven‘t received anything. Please resend your material to me at gmarin@chineitsang.com -- pdf form is best. Please continue to send your projects as soon as possible because we are working on establishing a schedule of events. So far I have received four types of projects:
– Presentation of your business (If possible, think of bringing pictures,
video, charts or graphs, Powerpoints, anything visual we can project)
– Demonstration of techniques developed along the years
– Classes
– Entertainment
We need more of the above projects and also we need lectures on the administrative, social, legal and financial side of business - Even testimonies - Let us know if you need help with working on your project and we will find you someone else interested in the same subject. This convention, like any convention, is also about promotion and networking with others. We are hoping to be able to showcase our presenter‘s work so if you have videos or DVDs, bring them. Please let us know the details (length, subject matter, etc.). We are recommending that you also prepare a ½ hour presentation of yourself and your business. Bring also your promotional flyers and business cards. This is a great opportunity to inspire others with your ideas and for all of us to raise our level of professionalism through sharing what has worked for us. The steering committee will have to decide what the program is according to the proposals we receive.
We are trying to be inclusive given time and space constraints. We are envisioning that we will get enough people to come to this event who are paying the conference fee ($US700/480 Euros) to give presenters a substantial honorarium to help offset the expense of traveling to Thailand.
But we need to have a great program of presentations to attract the people to pay for the conference and we need to have the people paying for the conference in order to attract the presenters and pay the honorariums. So take the leap and help make this event a fantastic experience for all of us.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Gilles Marin

     Let‘s talk
- Contact Information – All of us are in constant need of upgrading our websites and mailing lists and have often fallen victim to technical nightmares. Many of us have lost student data and practitioner lists many times. Please help the Universal Tao reconstitute this information by sending us your most recent contact information, your certification level, your level of professionalism, and if you have past students, the list of these students, email addresses and phone numbers so they can be contacted in case they would like to pursue their studies, practices and recognition with us.
- For the last day or the evenings we need either some talent show or videos of subjects related to our work. Any suggestions, any volunteer to coordinate this?
