Question
Regarding the book "Awaken healing energy through the Tao", on page 59, it is said in the text above the picture that: "Women finish by collecting the energy in the navel and circling it 36 times counterclockwise and 24 times clockwise."
So now I would like to know: should a female practitioner REALLY first rotate to the RIGHT, i.e. counterclockwise? I am asking because I have been told that a female should FIRST rotate clockwise and THEN counterclockwise. In addition, I would like to know why a male and female practitioner should rotate to the different directions, has is something to do with the moving direction of chi in male and a female? And is it harmful to rotate to the opposite direction than has been taught ? |
Answer
There are two versions of the practice that have been passed down. It doesn't mean someone is right or wrong. When I do the practice and want to finish, I just spiral and don't even want to know which direction; and to finish collecting energy, I just reverse to the other direction. The universe always changes the direction of the energy according to the pattern of the energy at that time. |
Question
I do the Inner Smile, the Microcosmic Orbit and the 6 Healing sounds everyday. I also cleanse the spine with the Yin, Yang and Cosmic energies. I am working on Fusion of the Five Elements. Could you help me understand how to balance my Chi. Does this happen by itself? Do my yin and yang energies automatically balance themselves? Can I bring in too much yin energy or too much yang energy? Does diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure indicate too much of yin or yang energy? Do most of your students have too much yin or too much yang energy? What are the signs of too much of one of these energies? |
Answer
1) By practicing what you mentioned: Taoist meditations: the Inner Smile, Microcosmic Orbit, the Six Healing Sounds, cleansing the spine with the Yin, Yang, Cosmic energies and Fusion of the Five Elements you will start to experience the inner balance.
2) As for your question: Do your yin and yang energies automatically balance themselves? You need to perform the daily life to balance the yin and yang. That means doing things in the middle way: not too much, not too little. By doing good virtues, helping other people, but not only doing good for them. Not just giving food to them when they are hungry. The Taoist way: teach them how to catch a fish for food and teach them how to feed themselves.
3) Learn to make win/win situations. No one wins, no one loses. This is a very different situation.
4) When the energy and emotions are out of balance, many sicknesses can result like high blood pressure.
5) When there is too much yin, one feels slow and less energetic. When there is too much yang, one feels tense and very emotional and gets angry easily and is argumentative; in this case the blood pressure can rise up.
6) Feng Shui is good to be used in the house and the place where you stay. There are many books and expert people around you.
7) I am making all new videos to reflect my new teaching. The new book is Tao Yin and others are coming out soon: Chi Nei Tsang II, Cosmic Healing I, and Cosmic Healing II, and the Multiorgasmic Couple. |
Question
For some years I've been studying and practicing from Mantak Chia's books. Is it possible for me to recieve "life experience" credit towards instructor certification? |
Answer
It's very good that you have been practicing. However we do not certify based on homework alone but rather on time spent with Mantak Chia and senior instructors. In the future we might open up an internet system of study certification. |

Question
I have been working on opening my meridians and circulating more energy through them, but my head starts to get really full and I get a headache. Can this be due to a blockage? |
Answer
This can be caused by increasing more energy in the system especially in the brain and causing headache. With more practice, the headache will reduce and your brain will increase more memory and mind power. |
Question
Also, if I pull energy in my center, will it be distributed throughout my body? |
Answer
If you pull energy in your center, it will certainly be distributed throughout your body. |
Question
When the meridians are open and flowing and when I left the lodge, I was totally drenched in sweat, but my solar plexus and heart area was coated in a strange oily substance. I noticed that my skin was sparkling in the sunlight. |
Answer
When you are still enough, the secretions in the body, like oil, will increase - especially in the cells of the joints. It will feel like oil. The secretion of saliva: Taoists regard it as a lubricant of the skin, the organs, the joints; it comes from the stillness. |
Question
I have also noticed my skin sparkling in the sunlight. Do you think this might be an indicator of the golden body? I have been bone breathing almost every day and energy breathing three to four times a day. Breath energy, I hear, crystallizes into spirit. Maybe it is all my imagination? |
Answer
As for your question on breath energy crystallizing into spirit. It is good to do all the breathing when the energy in your body is clear enough. It will crystallize into spirit. |

Question
I have become multi-orgasmic I can control my ejaculation very well, but sometimes I feel saturated, and I have noticed that by ejaculating I feel excellent again, so I have been doing it once a month, what can I do to stop doing this completely? Second, I would like to follow certain kind of vegetable-based diet to detoxify my body, since I have been practicing I feel the need to do it. Would you indicate to me what I do, please? |
Answer
It is OK to ejaculate sometimes and the body will rebuild new sperms. To stop ejaculating completely can take time; you can start practicing once a month and gradually increase up to ejaculating once in 2 months and then once in 3 months and so on.
There are may vegetarian diets in the world, which are different for the area, and for the person. You need to know your element first. You need to understand what type of person you are. And what are your needs for your age and your state of health. Then you can change your diet. |
Question
I am experiencing extreme abdominal pain in navel and lower abdomen. I suffered from nervousness, fear and worry, paranoids, depression, for a long time.
I started meditating to help these problems but instead of relaxing into meditation and letting thoughts and life drift and was holding on to my navel (my selected point of concentration) with supreme force. There was no way I was going to let go of my navel. This caused I believe a kidney stone which I finally passed thru urination. I've been practicing MC, healing sounds, this has helped my conditions somewhat. I have your Chi Nei Tsang book. The abdominal pain is still here. It is a new pain in fact. Makes it hard to store energy.
Do you have any advice on techniques, diets.
Also I was wondering about Taoist Hermits in Thailand. Are they still there today? How could I become one? And what about Buddhist Monks in Thailand. Are there any who are really dedicated to the dharma 100% and not just checkers-players and people looking for free meals. |
Answer
Doing the Inner Smile, 6 Healing Sounds and Microcosmic Orbit will help* when practiced regularly. You must do the Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage often also. In bed before sleep and the first thing in the morning: put both hands on the Tan Tien while you are lying on your back with the knees up and the feet down; spiral the hands around the center a lot in both directions. The best would be for you to go to a Chi Nei Tsang practioner to learn from Go To.............................. www.universal-tao.com and look in the instructors' directory under Chi Nei Tsang.
Regarding your diet: take less milk protein. Eat more grain and vegetables and some fish. There are Taoist Hermits in China; not many in Thailand. Many different types of people become Buddhist Monks. Some are sincere and some are looking for a free meal. |
