The Purpose of The Five Elements Astrology Report and Nutrition Chart:

Over many millennia, humanity has gradually lost its sensitivity to the world of vibration (such as Chi), as we have become more concerned with material development, and as our biological conditions have become more clouded and insensitive. Humans are born and nursed in an environment which is strongly influenced by the energy (e.g. Chi, magnetic force) flow on the Earth, as well as from other planets and celestial bodies.

When you are born the first breath of air you take is filled with the energy vibrations of the Five Elements. The Fire element is the sun vibration, the Earth element is the soil or ground vibration, the Metal element is the rocks or mountain vibration, the Water element is the river or lake vibration and the Wood element is the tree vibration. The first environmental energy patterns that you breathe of the five elements connect with the Five Vital Organs. Fire/Heart, Earth/Spleen, Metal/Lungs, Water/Kidneys, & Wood/Liver) forming your internal energy blue print. With this report you have the opportunity to change and balance your organs because you have the energy blueprint from the beginning of your biological life.

The Four Pillars is one of the theories in Chinese Astrology, which calculates the expected effect of the environment, including celestial bodies, on an individual. This report based on the Four Pillars, provides an analysis of your Five Elements and a description of the characteristics of your organs.

Although no one can change your inherent energy character within each organ, the energy can be brought closer to harmony by changing the quality and quantity of the energy you receive through diet, meditation and the influence of the environmental energy.

This report suggests a list of food, which will help balance energy within one self. It details the effect of the environmental energy on the individual & how to deal with deficient or excess energy. Once you are aware of the quality and quantity of the five elements that you possess as well as the status of your organs, it is conceivable that you have a better chance of becoming more balanced and harmonious. You can aquire the ability to mold your own lifestyle to fit your desires and ambitions with these specific attributes.

The Origins of Chinese Astrology & the I-Tjing

The Four Pillars (Tzu Ping) is one of the theories in Chinese Astrology which originated from the I Ching.

The theory of the Four Pillars has originated from the I Ching which contains the principles of change that describe how nature works and how heaven and its laws are manifested on earth. The Four Pillars works in a similar way according to the principles in I Ching. The information in this report may not be manifested in the present, but as with the I Ching, the tendencies may show a pattern which manifests themselves in the future. The patterns can be altered by an individual who meditates for a long time, abuses his/her body extensively, or is under prolonged influence of drugs or stress. Keep in mind that this report is for informational purposes. It is NOT a medical advice. The Four Pillars calculates the expected effect of the environment (including celestial bodies) on an individual. This Five Elements Report, based on the Four Pillars, provides an analysis of one's Five Elements in Section 2 and a description of the characteristics of one's organs in Section 3. It also suggests a list of food which will help balance the energy within oneself. In Section 4, it details the effect of the environmental energy on an individual and how to deal with excess energy.

What can  a Five Element Chart tell me about myself and my health?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine there are two major influences, pre-natal and post-natal. Pre-natal influences reflect the constitutional or birth condition of a person. Post-natal influences include lifestyle, for example, diet, exercise, emotional condition, work and environmental factors. These two influences interact and influence each other. The enclosed analysis reveals the Pre-natal condition; it is designed to identify the constitutional energetic condition and potential health conditions. To obtain a complete understanding of a person's health condition an evaluation by a professional healthcare practitioner should be performed; in this way pre-natal and post-natal conditions can be integrated and a complete evaluation performed.

What does a Five Element Chart look like?

Section I: The Astrology Chart

The Four Pillars - The Ten Heavenly Stems &
The Twelve Horary Branches

This report is prepared for Example Example on May 17 2007.
Birth date: Year:1930, Month:8, Day:1, Hour:12.00;
Gender : Female, Daylight Saving : Yes.

The first pillar (read from right to left) represents the energy you have inherited from the year you were born, the second from your birth month or season, the third from your birthday, and the fourth from your birth time.

The birth year pillar, represents your generation (peergroup), but also the influence you received from your grandparents or parents.

The birth month pillar (from the left), represents your parents or brothers and sisters.

The day stem pillar, represents yourself and your partner.

The birth hour pillar, represents your offspring, or what you create.
The chart represents the status of your energy, emotions, health and personality when you were born. The top row lists the ten Celestial Stems and the bottom lists the twelve Horary Branches. Each Stem and Branch consists of Yin/Yang and Five Elements. There are nine Branches having minor elements (smaller amount) which are called hidden Elements. They are listed after the major element and shown in lighter font. These Stems and Branches are translated to their Five Elements equivalents (translation table is listed in reference 8). The following analysis is based on this chart:

Section II: The Elements Chart

II The Elements Chart

A fundamental part of Asian philosophy is the inter-relationships among the five basic elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. There is no dominant element. Like Yin and Yang they are forever dependent upon and equal to one another. They are linked by the chain of life which brings about their very existence. Each has its own place and function. Even in the human body, these five elements maintain their reciprocal relationships. The elements rule the major organs of the body. For example, Earth element is the essential energy to nursery the stomach, spleen and pancreas (see section VII for more details). An imbalance of energy will manifest itself in terms of negative emotion and deteriorated health. This section analyzes the distribution of your energy.

This figure reflects the relative amount of each of the
Five Elements that you possess at birth:

Your personal element is Yin Water.
Your year of birth animal sign is Horse.
You have excess amount of the Earth element.
You are lacking the Wood and Metal elements.

To maintain harmony within the body, the amount of the Five Elements need to be in delicate balance.
Each of the Five Elements has power over another element, yet its power can be negated by the element that has power over it. An excess of Earth element will (over)stimulate your Stomach, Spleen, Pancreas, whereas a lack of Earth Element may cause this Organ Group to be weak;  likewise an excess or shortage of Metal Element will  have an extensive effect on your Lung and Large Intestine; as an excess or lack of Water Element in your chart may cause imbalance to your Kidneys and Bladder, so an excess or lack of Wood Element may make you prone to overstimulation of the Liver and Galbladder. Also one Element can influence the next, so that an excess of Wood Element for instance, may cause the to flare and have an effect similar to an excess of Fire: overstimulation of Fire Element, causing imbalance to your Heart and Small Intestine.

Thus the Harmony of the Five Elements within the body provides a healthy environment for organs to work properly. An energy imbalance will put your organs in unnecessary stress and affect your health in the long run. The next section provides a detail analysis of the energy of each organ.

Section III: The Health Chart

Humans inherit energy from the environment when they are born. The human body is an image of the universe in terms of energy. Part of the energy is from planets and celestial bodies, which comprise the ten Celestial Stems in your astrology chart. The other part of energy is from Earth, which comprises the twelve Horary Branches in your chart. The combined effect of your Stems and Branches on organs is expressed in relative amount of Five Elements.

This table states the status of each organ when you were born. The ten organs are divided into five groups. Each organ within a group shares the total amount of life force of the group with the other organ. It is desirable for each group to have an equal distribution of energy. All the parts of the body are connected to form the whole; the parts should not be treated individually. All organs should function in a harmonious integrated manner.

An excess of or deficiency condition of life force in a group will cause an imbalance of energy in each member. Imbalance of life force in a group will affect the other groups through a chain reaction among organs. Each group has a strong connection with a sense organ. For instance, the sense organ for the Gall Bladder and Liver group is the eyes.
Imbalance of energy in an organ will manifest itself as sickness, emotion, change of taste and impairing the related sense organ. All of these effects are referred to as the associated conditions of the corresponding organ.
The chart indicates that Example Example's Gall Bladder, Liver, Large Intestine and Lung are relatively weak.

The chart also indicates that her Stomach and Spleen, Pancreas have an excess of energy. They have the tendency to create an imbalance of energy among these organs.

An organ pair with excess or deficiency of energy will cause the associated taste, emotion, virtue and sickness to become more active in comparison with other emotion and sickness. As a result, you may like or dislike the associated taste (for example, salty), emotion may be out of control frequently, or the associated sickness may occur more often as you age. The following list contains the associated conditions (taste, emotion, virtue, sickness) and energy for the above organs.
